Adam Swartz
MSW Intern Therapist
My name is Adam, and I am a clinical social work intern offering therapy services under supervision while completing my MSW and pursuing a certificate in Gerontology (UGA). Before entering the field of social work, I spent many years working as a personal trainer, entrepreneur, teacher, and artist. Those experiences continue to shape how I understand people: as whole, many-layered human beings shaped by body, history, relationships, and meaning.
I strive to offer a warm, thoughtful, and reflective space where you can slow down, better understand yourself, and explore what you are moving through. I am especially interested in supporting people navigating life transitions, men’s issues, aging, grief and loss, questions of purpose and meaning, and the challenges of feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected.
My approach is collaborative, curious, and respectful of your pace. I hope to help you listen more closely to your own experience, build capacity for difficult emotions, and move toward greater honesty, resilience, and connection in your life.
I do not work with insurance, however, I offer a very generous sliding scale of $20 - $60 per session. All of my sessions are in-person and must be recorded by a non-internet connected device and reviewed for teaching purposes. I am receiving supervision from Robert Ross, LCSW during my internship with Meristem Therapy Services.
