Associate Clinical Therapist Position
Associate Clinical Therapist | Meristem Therapy Services | Athens, GA
At Meristem Therapy Services, our mission is to set the standard for authentic, compassionate, and trauma-centered mental health and harm reduction psychotherapy. We meet people where they are in their change process and respect how they want to move forward.
We're hiring a full-time associate clinical therapist to join our team in Athens, Georgia.
What we believe
Our work is shaped by six values: authenticity, connection, meaning, respect, embracing both/and, and flourishing. They guide how we sit with clients, how we work with each other, and how we hire. Practically, this shows up in how we practice:
Trauma-centered, harm-reduction, and relationally-focused
Both/and thinking instead of either/or
Self-determination as central to client growth
Self-care and sustainability treated as essential to good clinical work, not as afterthoughts
Who we're looking for
You hold an active associate Georgia license (LMSW, LAPC, LAMFT) and bring a minimum of one year of paid clinical experience with adolescents, emerging adults, and adults. You thrive with weekly supervision and value collegial consultation. You're interested in leading or co-leading group therapy and ideally bring a niche or area of focus.
You're energized by collaboration, take direct feedback well, and see your work as part of something larger than caseload mechanics.
The position
W2, fee-for-service commission model starting at 50% of collected fees (insurance and private pay), with adjustments possible at full-time status
Estimated annual earnings at full caseload (23 hours/week): $60,000, with higher earnings available for clinicians who want a larger caseload. Caseload typically builds over the first months.
23 clinical hours per week minimum (averaged quarterly), with 28 hours of scheduled availability
One evening per week (until 7pm) or one 4-hour weekend block
Primarily in-person sessions, with telehealth where clinically appropriate. All sessions are held in-office.
Furnished office, shared group space, and weekly onsite clinical consultation
Billing, credentialing, malpractice insurance, EHR, and advertising covered by the practice
CE and licensing reimbursement available
No on-call expectations
Built-in referrals
